Per colazione latte di stelle
e poi in viaggio verso mete lontane
dove dentro le vetrine ci sono numeri
appiccicati a pezzi di stoffa,
sui cocci dai colori preziosi,
sui libri frivoli che vendono.
Numeri che nutrono la gente,
numeri di marzapane,
numeri che riempiono le bocche
senza mai saziare.
Rettangoli di carta
con cui puoi comprare il mondo
e continuare a sentirti povero.
Strisce di cifre velenose
che ingoiano le emozioni.

Milk of stars for breakfast
and then the journey to faraway destinations
where, inside the showcases, there’re numbers
glued to pieces of cloth,
to potsherds with precious colours,
to the frivolous books they sell.
Numbers that feed people,
marzipan numbers,
numbers that fill the mouths,
without ever satiating.
Paper rectangles
with which you can buy the world
and keep feeling yourself poor.
Lines of poisonous digits
that swallow every emotion.

la povertà del mondo, la fragilità dell’essere umano, spesso attaccato al denaro, ma consapevole della sua effimera beatitudine.
